Inclusion
- Adult ≥ 18 years
- Intubated for ≥ 36 hours
- Scheduled extubation
- Informed written consent
Exclusion
- pregnancy
- history of postextubation laryngeal dyspnea
- laryngeal disease
- tracheotomy
- patient receiving corticotherapy prior to admission
- traumatic intubation
- participation to this study or to another trial
