Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • first time major depression
  • age over 50 years
  • Caucasian
  • admitted at a psychiatric hospital or treated at a local psychiatric clinic in Aarhus Amt

Exclusion

  • major brain damage (e.g. stroke, epilepsy, trauma)
  • major alcohol or drug abuse
