Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- awake and cooperative patient
- ICU admission following surgery of head or neck
Exclusion
- coagulopathy
- inability to sit
- hypoxemia and/or hypercapnia and /or hypocapnia
- Pain score \> 5 (on scale 1-10)
- esophageal abnormalities
- Pregnancy
- COPD
