Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Primipara
  • Healthy mother and child
  • Danish speaking
  • Perineal laceration or episiotomy that can be sutured by a midwife.

Exclusion

  • Large perineal lacerations
  • Heavy bleeding after childbirth
  • No need for pain relief
