  • DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Diagnosis of hematologic malignancy
  • Referred or scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy
  • PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Must understand written and spoken English
  • PRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:
  • Prior bone marrow biopsies allowed
