Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients aged 75 years or older undergoing elective cardiac surgery with CPB
Exclusion
- positive cardiac troponin T test within the week before surgery
- patients undergoing emergent procedures
- patients with preoperative mechanical cardiac support
- patients undergoing hemodialysis
