Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Aged greater than 18 years
  • Mechanically ventilated for more than 24 hours

Exclusion

  • Admitted from other hospital already mechanically ventilated
  • Massive haemoptysis
  • Previously received mechanical ventilation
