Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- adult patients, 18-70 years of age;
- recipient of a mechanical heart valve (aortic and/or mitral), +/- CABG, +/- postoperative atrial fibrillation.
Exclusion
- recipient of a bioprosthetic valve;
- post-operative thrombotic events;
- pre-operative utilization of oral anticoagulation.
