Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Differentiated papillary thyroid carcinoma
  • Undergoing total thyroidectomy plus central neck dissection

Exclusion

  • Previous thyroid or neck surgery
  • Patients with parathyroid diseases
  • Other thyroid malignancies
  • Early loss of follow-up without proper evaluation of postoperative serum calcium levels and symptoms
