Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Singleton pregnancy
  • Term pregnancy

Exclusion

  • Non-vertex pregnancies
  • Multiple pregnancies
  • Placenta previa
  • Placental abruption
  • Intra-uterine infection
  • Non progressive labor first stage
  • Former operations or surgical procedures in the vagina
  • Perineal massage during the weeks before labor
