Inclusion
- Singleton pregnancy
- Term pregnancy
Exclusion
- Non-vertex pregnancies
- Multiple pregnancies
- Placenta previa
- Placental abruption
- Intra-uterine infection
- Non progressive labor first stage
- Former operations or surgical procedures in the vagina
- Perineal massage during the weeks before labor
