Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • new traumatic SCI
  • inpatient acute rehabilitation at the SCI system hospital
  • residence in the catchment area at the time of injury

Exclusion

  • lack of a telephone
  • non-English speaking
  • severe psychiatric condition such as psychosis
