Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Children with depleted iron stores (serum ferritin \< 20 µg/L or iron deficiency serum transferrin receptor \>7.6 mg/L)

Exclusion

  • Hb \< 8g/dl, any metabolic illness, use of medication, on iron supplementation
