Inclusion

  • major elective intrabdominal surgery

Exclusion

  • arrhythmia
  • hepatectomy
  • associated thoracic surgery
  • laparoscopy
  • pregnancy
  • allergy to colloid solution or anesthesia protocol
  • arterial catheter not possible
