Inclusion

  • All patients admitted to the medical intensive care unit (ICU) are eligible for inclusion

Exclusion

  • Patient refusal
  • Contraindication to nasal swabbing (arm 1)
  • Allergy/sensitivity to chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) (arm 2)
