Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Male and female patients, age 18 - 75
  • Open abdominal, curative cancer surgery \> 2 h

Exclusion

  • Pregnancy
  • Chronic cortisone treatment
  • Ongoing chemotherapy
  • Acute infections, septic surgery
  • Palliative surgery (e.g. debulking only)
