Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- undergoing surgery with a planned perineural catheter for postoperative analgesia
- catheter in the interscalene, infraclavicular, popliteal, or femoral anatomic location
- age 18 years or older
Exclusion
- pregnancy
- inability to communicate with the investigators and hospital staff
- incarceration
