  • DISEASE CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Diagnosis of pancreatic cancer (all stages)
  • PATIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
  • Admitted to City of Hope National Medical Center
  • Resides within a 30-mile radius of the medical center
  • No prior cancer
  • PRIOR CONCURRENT THERAPY:
  • No prior therapy
