Inclusion

  • Patients able to give informed consent.
  • Patients undergoing cardiac surgery which would routinely require:
  • an endotracheal tube
  • pulmonary artery catheter

Exclusion

  • Patients who do not speak English.
  • Patients not competent to give informed consent.
