Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Apgar score of \<5 at 5 minutes or continued resuscitation at 5 minutes
  • Neonatal encephalopathy

Exclusion

  • Imminent death
  • Major congenital malformations
  • Gestation \<36 weeks
  • Birthweight less than 1.8 kg
