Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • elective spine surgery
  • \> 60 years old
  • \< 5 hours of surgery
  • microdiskectomy
  • 1-2 levels of spinal laminectomies

Exclusion

  • transfusions
  • \> 5 hours of surgery
  • \> 2 levels of laminectomies
  • spinal instrumentation
