Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients with ulcerative colitis undergoing a total colectomy with IPAA for steroid dependent disease, therapy-refractory disease, colorectal cancer or severe dysplasia
- 18-65 years of age
Exclusion
- unable to give informed consent
- pregnant or breastfeeding
