Inclusion

  • referral for bronchoscopic investigation/sampling
  • informed consent signed
  • recent spirometric data

Exclusion

  • sedated and/or ventilated patients
  • patients on ICU
  • patients under oral anticoagulation
  • co-existing lung disease
  • acute infectious pulmonary disease
