Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Newly diagnosed, drug-naive patients with type 2 diabetes
- Fasting plasma glucose: 7-11 mmol/l
- HbA1C: 7-9%.
Exclusion
- Type 1 diabetes
- Liver and kidney failure
