Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients presenting for outpatient rotator cuff repair
- adults
- English as the primary language
Exclusion
- evidence of peripheral nerve damage on affected side
- refusal of peripheral nerve block
- pregnant women
- lung disease, including obstructive sleep apnea
- chronic opioid use
- mental handicap
