Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Adult (\> 18 yrs)
  • Requires tracheostomy

Exclusion

  • Failure to provide consent
  • Known upper airway pathologies
  • Known oro-pharyngeal or laryngeal disease, including any swelling, tumour, or infection
  • Previous radiotherapy or operations on the neck
  • Cervical spine fractures.
