Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- morbid obese patients scheduled for bariatric surgery, with a planned awake intubation.
Exclusion
- inability to communicate in English or french
- allergies to any study drugs
- any patient with an American society of anesthesiologists score of 4 or more
