Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • recurrence of a primary pneumothorax
  • persistent primary pneumothorax
  • patient preference (in primary events)

Exclusion

  • presence of a pulmonal fistula
  • underlying lung disease
  • previous thoracic surgery (except tube thoracostomy)
  • previous pleurodesis
  • conversion thoracotomy
