Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Patients undergoing an elective surgery by thoracoscopy requiring antithrombotic prophylaxis
  • Anticipated duration of hospital stay of at least 3 days

Exclusion

  • Pre-existing coagulopathy
  • Severe renal failure
  • Known allergy to heparin
  • History of heparin induced thrombocytopenia
