Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- ASA 1 -3, patients scheduled for TURP( transurethral resection of prostate) were included
Exclusion
- Patients with any contraindication to epidural anesthesia were excluded.
- cognitive impairment
- coagulopathy
- allergy to lidocaine
- infection at the puncture site
