Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- age less than 18 years
- PICU admitting diagnosis of sepsis, respiratory failure, or hepatic failure.
Exclusion
- hyponatremia or hypernatremia at PICU admission
- preexisting diagnosis of End-stage renal disease or renal transplant
- presence of neurologic comorbidities.
