Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- hysterectomy (abdominally or laparoscopically) for benign indications
- premenopausal
- age \>36 \< 55
Exclusion
- history of cancer
- hereditary cancer in the family
- previous intraluminal tubal occlusion
- previous salpingitis
- failure to perform a tubectomy during hysterectomy
