Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • patients scheduled to a lung surgical procedure and thoracic epidural analgesia

Exclusion

  • Abnormalities of the external ear
  • Dialysis or end stage renal failure
  • Abnormal urinary tract
  • Incapacity to self assessment of comfort and anxiety,
  • Contra-indication to total intravenous anesthesia
