Inclusion

  • \>37 weeks gestation
  • gestational diabetes mellitus according to Carpenter and Coustan
  • pregestational diabetes mellitus

Exclusion

  • Intrauterine fetal death
  • estimated fetal weight\<10p
  • multiple gestation
  • major fetal malformations
