Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Age 18 years or older
- Non-valvular atrial fibrillation
- Indication for dabigatran etexilate
Exclusion
- Use of anticoagulant medication within the last month
- Contra-indication to dabigatran etexilate
- Unable or not wishing to give informed consent
