Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Men and women, age 18 years or older
  • Scheduled elective abdominoplasty at the Dpt. of Plastic Surgery, Medical University of Graz
  • Signed informed consent form

Exclusion

  • Allergy to Teflon or steel
  • Known skin diseases (atopic dermatitis, psoriasis)
  • History of immunodeficiency diseases
  • Patients on glucocorticoid or other immunomodulating therapy
  • History of bleeding disorder
  • Pregnancy or planned pregnancy
  • Unable to fully understand study procedures and to provide informed consent
