Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- • elective open heart surgery requiring cardiopulmonary bypass
Exclusion
- inability to provide informed consent
- allergy to insulin
- pregnancy
- mother tongue other than English or French
- visual or hearing impairment interfering with the ability to complete cognitive tests.
