Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Adult outpatients (18 years or older)
  • routinely referred for small bowel video capsule endoscopy (CE)

Exclusion

  • dysphagia
  • severe gastroparesis requiring endoscopic placement of capsule
  • small bowel obstruction
  • pregnancy
