Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Trauma patients in hemorrhagic shock
  • Expected delay in blood and blood products transfusion for more than 40 minutes.

Exclusion

  • Known chronic renal disease
  • Known chronic liver disease
  • Known coagulopathy
  • Known allergy to Hydroxyethyl starch
  • Known pregnancy
