Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • oral and maxillofacial surgery to be performed under general anesthesia
  • planned for a general anesthetic with nasotracheal intubation,
  • ASA I and II
  • at least 18 years of age

Exclusion

  • prisoners
  • anticipated difficult airways
