Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Age: 2 to 17 years of age
  • Diagnosis of perforated appendicitis at laparoscopy
  • Development of a post-appendectomy abscess that is treated with percutaneous drainage.

Exclusion

  • Patients who are allergic to ampicillin
