Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • patients undergoing aortic valve replacement

Exclusion

  • co-medications: metformin, nitroglycerine, nicorandil
  • discomfort at TENS or loss of intact skin
  • uncontrolled hypertension or diabetes mellitus
  • severely impaired renal or hepatic function
  • peripheral vasculopathy or neuropathy
  • did not consent to participate
  • pregnancy
