Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients undergoing aortic valve replacement
Exclusion
- co-medications: metformin, nitroglycerine, nicorandil
- discomfort at TENS or loss of intact skin
- uncontrolled hypertension or diabetes mellitus
- severely impaired renal or hepatic function
- peripheral vasculopathy or neuropathy
- did not consent to participate
- pregnancy
