Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Age over 18 years
  • For patients: molecular diagnosis of homocystinuria due to cystathionine beta synthase (CBS) deficiency

Exclusion

  • Gastric, hepatic or kidney disease
  • Smoking
  • Illicit drug users;
  • Acetaminophen or N-acetylcysteine hypersensitivity.
  • Controls: use of vitamins supplements
