Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • Cancer group:
  • Inclusion criteria:
  • 18 Years and older
  • Able to provide informed consent
  • No cognitive impairment
  • Newly diagnosed OESCC or oesophageal dysplasia.

Exclusion

  • 1\) On anticoagulation including Plavix, warfarin and NOAC's
  • Control group:
  • Inclusion Criteria:
  • Patients undergoing an OGD without a history of malignancy
  • 18 Years and older
  • Able to provide informed consent
  • No cognitive impairment
