Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion

  • female undergoing elective gynecologic surgery

Exclusion

  • known allergy to lidocaine,
  • respiratory or cardiac dysfunction, arrhythmia, treatment with antiarrhythmic drugs,
  • inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis)
  • hepatic, renal
  • chronic use of analgesics or corticosteroids
