- Nulliparous women
- Over 18 year of age
- Single fetus
- Term: has completed 36 weeks of pregnancy
Exclusion
- fetal anomalies
- Prior cesarean delivery
- contraindication to valsalva
- blind patients
- admission in the second stage of labor
