Inclusion
- patients undergoing colorectal surgery or small bowel surgery
- elective or in emergency
- open surgery or laparoscopy
- diagnosis of POI
- indication of fasting or nasogastric tube placement
Exclusion
- contra-indication of chewing
- pregnancy
