- hyperparathyroidism
- acromegaly
- hypogonadism
- diabetes melitus
- chronic renal failure
- alcoholism
- cushing syndrome
- rheumatoid arthritis
- systemic lupus erythematosus
- ankylosing spondylitis
- inflammatory bowel disease
- obstructive lung disease
- sarcoidosis
- amyloidosis
- celiac disease.
- chronic treatment with bisphosphonates
- chronic treatment with glucocorticoids
- chronic treatment with androgen deprivation therapy
