Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- Sepsis
- Age \>17 years
- Arterial catheter
- Lactate \> 2 mmol at any time point prior to inclusion
Exclusion
- Mitochondrial defect
- Degenerative muscle disease
- Terminal liver failure
