Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- scheduled for elective direct laryngoscopy with surgical intervention
- written informed consent of the parents or legal guardian
Exclusion
- refusal of informed consent
- known allergy for dexmedetomidine
- known allergy for remifentanil
- pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) is lower than 85%, at induction of anesthesia
