Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion
- patients requiring total thyroidectomy.
- age between 18-75 years old
- both gender
- no co-existing disease.
Exclusion
- 1\. previous hemithyroidectomy, lobectomy, resection of the parathyroid gland. 2. 2. patients with missing laboratory data, previous subtotal thyroidectomy.
- 3\. diagnosed pathology of the parathyroid gland
